Apartment Hunting...

This will be my new home. It actually has a fireplace...I have no idea why. When I asked if a fireplace is needed in Dallas, they just laughed. The garage is large with a storage area. The apartment is actually on the third floor. The pros: Great view of the pool area and downtown Dallas off in the distance and third floor is cheaper than second or first. The cons: Uh well it is on the third floor..(sorry mom).

I live in an area called Las Colinas. The city is actually Irving, Texas. Las Colinas is a newly developed area of North Irving where there is many Tech jobs. Steve said it is Dallas’ Silicon Valley. It is a nice area with a lot of retail. And I mean a lot. There is Kohl’s, Wal-Mart, Sam’s, Target and Kroger’s in walking distance. I am going to try to take some pictures today.

I went to dinner/drink with Steve yesterday. He seems to be doing well. His girlfriend did not come (she was in a fender bender that day – she is fine, pissed but fine). He lives and works in a suburb on the other side (east) of Dallas. It was good to see him and will be nice to know someone here outside of work. He was crushed that the Star’s lost...

I am going to the lab and Rx today to meet everyone. However, I have to go buy a new belt since I forgot to pack one. Seems more important now!!
