Fourth of July Weekend.

I went exploring a little more on Friday. To say this is a big place is an extreme understatement. I found a cool little hole in the wall place that has really good slushes. Moreover, when the temperature gets to 100 or close, slushes are really good.

I went to Irving to watch their Fourth of July Parade. It took about an hour and really had a small town flare to it. At first, I could not understand why so many people were carrying umbrellas since the weather was supposed to be perfect. However, after standing on the bridge for about 20 with the sun beating down and watching everyone around me chillin in the shade of their umbrellas, the logic became clear to me. Thankfully, I found a little room down the street to stand under a tree. This is a link to the pictures.

That evening the fireworks were on Television just like Red, White and Boom. However, I could not see those outside my window. I could see five other fireworks that looked to be from various towns. Only one picture came out. Most of them were so far away they looked like the size of a penny.

On Saturday, I decided to try a local water park out. I thought of Abby, she would have loved it. I stayed there for about five hours. Lounged in the “lazy” river, floated in the wave pool, rode the tube slide and the rode the speed slide once. The latter did minor damage to the “gems” and I decided that was enough. I went home and collapsed from exhaustion.

All in all a pretty good Fourth of July, I just wished I could have been at Abby’s birthday. Please tell her I said Happy Birthday.

Another cute picture of Taco on “watch”. Until next time…
